About

Brendon G. Basiga (Barrister, Solicitor and Attorney at Law)IMG_0826

I love the law, the practice of law, and all of the good, bad and “ugly” parts of the law.  In 2006 I had the privilege of being sworn into the State Bar of Michigan; in 2008 I was called to the Federal Bar for the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan; in 2011 I was sworn into the State Bar of Illinois; and as of January, 2013, I was called to the Ontario Bar (as a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada).

It is truly a privilege to be able to practice law in multiple jurisdictions, as well as 2 countries (Canada and the U.S.A.).  I am very proud of our offices in both London, Ontario, Canada and Okemos, Michigan, U.S.A.  I look forward to serving those in need, in both countries.

Rebecca Ford (Legal Assistant; a.k.a. The “Real Boss”)

RMF Picture

Although somewhat new to the legal world, Rebecca comes to BLF from an experienced customer-service background.  She is a graduate of Westervelt College, with a diploma in Office Administration.  Her six years at Tim Horton’s are an invaluable source of experience and training – particularly in a law firm that is so focused on serving our clients.

Succinctly put, she is an indispensable member of our team.  Her attention to detail, incredible skills at organizing chaos, and her infinite patience when dealing with me, are second to none.  Were it not for Rebecca, I would never be able to figure out which appointment or court I am going to next – thus her pseudonym as the “real boss” of the firm :).  We are, and continue to be, very excited to have her as part of the BLF team.

    • Thanks! I was messing around with some of the settings and I was trying to see where I could upload pictures or images. I’ll change it back to the original format. Cheers!
